Different Tower Layouts

I really think this game could improve alot from having a couple other tower designs. Only having 1 tower design across all continents is starting to bore me. I know they intend to come out with new bases and such. But some new tower layouts as well will make this game 10x better.

What do you guys think?

V1 - Current

V2 - Classic infantry only enclosed tower, Remove garage at the bottom and have 2 capture points inside. Have the 2 side doors at the bottom but make them big like the spawn room doors a top entrance for galaxy drops with a walkway all around as a lookout

More defensive building assets in general...

The last update was a start, but they really need more pieces with which to build funtional fortified military installations from.

I think they could also put a bit more thought into the logical placement of the towers.

I heard this mentioned today... and it made a lot of sense... so many of the towers are either stuck in holes, or placed right next to significant amounts of elevated terrain - such that attackers can fire right down into them with AOE and whatnot, essentially negating a lot of what should be the advantage of the tower.

I think the best tower fights happen when they are out in the open, or on elevated terrain themselves.

ex. those 2 towers in the w/nw part of the Indar desert. I see a lot of cool fights there and it never feels like being in the tower is an utter disadvantage as it can in other places.

This, and the fact that the towers are bizarrely open. Like every other minor installation, outposts have way too many entrances. They're indefensible against a larger attacking force.

While I'd love to see different outpost designs, mostly I'd just like to see some outposts that are in some sense defensible -- that aren't just a game of seeing who can outspawn whom.

Certainly. The latest tower changes were seriously needed, but they are just the first step. First floor needs to be less open to all winds. Move garage underground and close up those giant holes for shells to fly through.
