The problem with Prowlering

Some of these may be bugs and some at least will also apply to other tanks.

1. The rocking back and forth thing (recently introduced, annoying but not the most serious).

2. Sometimes after firing a gun you get recoil up, recoil down or no recoil at all. 33/33/33 ..... I was trying to destroy a turret this morning, at a middle range I'd say and I couldn't hit it at all, or maybe once every few shots. It's very hard to get both shots in the same vicinity unless you're really close.

3. The sideways sliding on slopes. Not so much the sliding but twice in a row I flipped over completely and exploded, this is new.

4. The AV turrets. As a driver there's not a lot you can do about these, you can't see them, you can't see the rockets on the radar, you can't run because you don't know where to run to and similarly you can't hide. I rarely get killed by these because I bail, but the tank is lost. Either reduce the damage or at least make the missile visible on radar (as I hope the pheonix will also be).

What on earth did they do to my Prowler!

Seriously though the first three points sound horrible. I do hope that there's something else in the works than stealth changes.

1. Do you have zoom optics on your tank? That will help if you are trying to accurately hit something. If you are using thremal or night vision trying to hit distance targets then there is your problem.

Personally I don't have much issue hitting the same vicinity, but then again I use zoom optics unless it is night.

3. So you want missiles on the radar so you can watch your mini map to try to avoid missiles aimed at your big tank? Good luck with that. I don't see how that would help at all.

Unless you are out in the open then you should be able to find cover before a AV turret takes you out. I get killed by lock-on rockets and liberators the most. It seems like lib daltons don't render when they hit. Making it really hard to tell where damage is coming from.

Yes I have zoom optics and the reason I raised this as an issue is that I've never had a problem before. I mean sometimes you miss but the reason is obvious, your aim was off, now there is a large element of randomness it seems.

re: your second point. Yes in theory you can hide, when you have a good idea where the rockets are coming from.

I haven't experienced the aim issue. I did a lot of testing with the magrider and the prowler. I don't know how to help.

On the damage thing. Just find any cover, get out and attempt to repair while standing between the tank and your cover. If the tank gets hit again then you know your attacker can still see the tank. Move the tank to the other side of the cover and finish repairing.

1) I've encountered this rocking back and forth in both the prowler and the vanguard in VR training. It went away after I moved my tank forward a few feet.

2) That seems very annoying, I've never encountered it myself.

3) That sucks. I would hate to be randomly instagibbed by terrain.

4) I think that all large projectiles and where they hit should show up on radar.

I forgot to mention the reverse left/right swap-over bug which disorientates you when you trying to get to a place of safety.

Yes, the rocking back and forth, it diesn't happen all the time which I why I think it's not particularly serious although still needs to be corrected. It is also present in all turreted tanks and probably the Bangbus.

I hate that bug. It is absolutely impossible to dodge rockets/hide behind cover when your tank starts backing up the WRONG WAY

Is it actually a bug? I always assumed it was the devs just fucking with us.
