any news on crewed tanks

anyone know if the devs have any info about possibility of multi crewed 3 man tanks? its been a couple months and people are complaining about tank spam and fragility of tanks. i really think crewed tanks is the best solution to reduce tank spam yet able to make them more powerful at the same time.

I'm hoping for it as well, but my guess is that it'll be close to a year before we start seeing that kinda stuff (if ever)

SOE has pretty much locked into stone that MBTs are PS2's BFRs.

Besides some times bringing up the possibility of having them added in at a later point, no.

it would be cool if they could add a "super tank?" like, one that is really slow, with one person driving, another manning the main turret, and another on the gun, and it can be picked up (GOD DAMNIT I WANT THIS SO MUCH) by a galaxy etc? just sayin

I think crewd tanks would actually be awesome, but lets look at the benifits.
1. longer life of a tank
2. less freindly deaths because the driver will be driving not running over friendlys while looking at a target.
3. Not falling off a cliff on narrow roads, because you were looking at the target and not the road.
4. As a VS 360 degree defence, damn engie's sneaking up behind us.

Ive put little to no certs into my Mag because I dont like the feel of the tank, its a fixed barrel MBT, granted I like the hover and menuvering is nice, its just to clumsy, trying to shoot and move. Its funny to watch a tank rolling up to a fight and the driver hits a tree or rock, or runs over friendly's trying to aim at something on the side while he's moving forward. Lets just face it the tank is designed as a crew served weapon. The lightning on the other hand Ive put certs into it but only the sky guard, which I rarely fire on the move, im usually in a defensive position when I deploy one, or defending a convoy, (and even then I stop to engage air targets) Ive put the certs into that. So I dont know, the dev's designed the tank this way because they wanted solo players to exsperience the tank on a solo basis, but to me its just another BF Idea added to the game. But believe me if they made a tank that was crew served, Id actually spend some certs in it.

It's been talked about tons but the Devs still don't seem all that interested.

I get most of my kills driving a Van, yet Im all for making them be something other than a larger Lightning.

.
My vote is firmly in the realm of VEHICLES NEED HELP.

1) YES, to MULTI-CREWED (3 ideal) TANKS that have better weapons & armor available
versus any current MBT (whether 1 or 2 crewed). REDUCE TANK SPAM.

2) TWEAK THE LIGHTNING. I am a staunch believer that the Lightning should NOT flip easily. It should NOT be prone to getting stuck in ravines. It should be quick & highly agile .... the Armored hit-and-run Sniper-ish vehicle. Keep the Lightning 1-man, but add a 2ndary gun you can jump to to combat Tank Mine spammers. Or, add some sort of shrapnel/flak Cert, so if you were situationally aware you could fire anti-personnel flak in a 360 radius (up, and out) to counter LA or Engies looking to blow u up w/ C4 or mines.

3) Bring back the ES DELI VARIANTS. Make them float too ..... which means a LOT more water on at least one or two of the continents.

4) Something akin to the old CLOAK BUBBLE on the PS1 style AMS'.
.

it would be great if crewed tanks can have even a 4th seat, like a commander seat, someone who issues orders to others, like left click to order driver where to go, right click to order gunner what to shoot.
