GU05 Notes Release and Patch Notes


Full Notes:

Account Level Unlocks
  • Want to try out a new character? Now is your chance! Items you've purchased with Station Cash will be available to all characters on your account that are eligible to use that item. See our FAQ for details.
  • The change is retroactive to purchases which have been made in the past.
  • Only non-consumable items purchased with SC (not Certifications) are unlocked on the account-level at this point in time.

New Items in the Depot
  • Enjoy your weekend with a new 3 Day Resource and Experience Boost!
  • New Helmets have been added for the Infiltrator and Light Assault Classes!
    • VS: Protos Helmet
    • TR: Bravo MHS Helmet
    • GD Titan 113 Helmet

Certification Notification Improvements
  • The certification indicator should now count up with an animation.
  • The screen time for the “You’ve received certifications” notification has been increased for greater visibility.

Client stability improvements
  • Server performance improvements have been made to improve overall gameplay experience.
  • Grenades shoud no longer get stuck on the screen.
  • Weapon attachments that were not able to be equipped in the loadout UI should now be available.
  • Added tooltip for VR button on Warpgate.
  • Flash turbo sound effect should now be working as intended.

Known Issue

Some attachments which were purchased in the last week and unable to be equipped will not be available. We are collecting information on all affected parties and granting those items back within a couple days. Please stand by if you have been affected and we’ll notify you when it’s been completed. Thanks!
FAQ

What will be unlocked on a new character that’s the same Empire as my existing character?

Any weapons and non-consumable items such as multi-use camo purchased through Station Cash will appear on any new character of the same empire.

What about characters made with other Empires?

Any items specific to an Empire will not be available on other Empires’ characters. For example a New Conglomerate Sweeper Shotgun will only be available on another New Conglomerate character. Common Pool items unlocked with Station Cash will be available across all characters. For example, an NS Annihilator unlocked with Station Cash can be used by all VS, TR, and NC characters on the purchasing account.

What about items I’ve unlocked with certifications points?

Items unlocked with certification points will only be available on the character you unlocked them with. This includes weapons, scopes, extended magazines, C4, etc…

What about my vehicle customizations like rims and decals?

These will follow the same rules as non-consumable empire specific items and common pool items. For instance if you buy a decal for a Lightning, it will work on the Lightning on any character.

Will similar secondary weapons on tanks unlock across multiple characters?

Weapons are unique to each vehicle and while they may be similarly named, operate differently. Weapons that would unlock on an empire specific vehicle will not unlock for a different empire. For instance a Vanguard M12 Kobalt will not be unlocked for the Prowler or Magrider.

From breifly going over the Account Unlocks it seems to make it so you can play your main character on any server, but you don't get anywhere near the benefits by trying to start a new character on a new faction? The only thing that would transfer over as I read it is the NS weapons?

The cert point unlocks not being equal to station cash unlocks is disappointing. I bought my NS launchers with cert points :| I assumed there was no difference once you purchased them, as there was nothing to indicate there was a difference.

Does the common pool vehicle weapon unlocks for the Liberator / Lightning / Sunderer / Galaxy / Flash transfer to other factions?

So, my question still remains about camo. I know there are empire specific camos like the digital patterns and I can understand those being restricted, but last I read this morning was that all camos were considered empire specific. So the tundra camo I bought for my VS isn't the same as for the TR or NC... is that still correct?

If so I will still be bummed that my $60+ in camos are still tied to my VS that I no longer really play. Glad to have all the common pool weapons though.

Just read the quoted Reddit Higby comment in the other thread we were posting in this morning. Cross-faction equivalence unlocks is more than I'd hoped for, and it being in the works is an indication that we won't be having problems with non-faction-specific camos either... in the long run at least.

Maybe Higby's explanation in OP of that thread was a little badly phrased, which led us all of on a wild goose rage. So to speak.

NOTES: Since GU04 I've had an Issue with the attachments to my T1 Cycler. I have nothing unlocked (Despite having bought both reflex sights), it shows I have one equipped, and the ingame model of my T1 Cycler has no sights. No, not even the Iron sights. It ends straight at my barrel.
This was as of this morning. I'll be hopping online to see if this patch changed anything.

TBH, I'm quite happy the Account Unlocks are so limited. Might prevent people from always picking the 'winning side' to play on.

In my opinion, the game is so much better when players stay loyal to their server and empire.
