Minimum number of members for an Outfit?

Sorry if this has been covered already. I looked at both the official and the PSU FAQs and I couldn't find anything. What is the minimum number of players needed to create an Outfit?

Thanks,
-Virt

Terran Elite Airborne Regiment

I think that around this time more people should be considering joining outfits other than making new ones. Its crunch time and leaders have to be prepared for launch wich is now about a month away.

The member count for an outfit i belive is one full squad which is 10 i belive!!!

Dragoon, how many outfits do you think there are? Lets say there is 50 at max amount of ppl thats 50 * 30 which is 1500 peps. Thats roughly 1/4 of a server population! Only one server! People can make outfits as they please there will always be enough people to go around.

EDIT: Ok according to this site there are 76 NC 62 TR and 62 Vanu Outfits thats gonna be split across probly 10 - 20 servers. Thats 20 Outfits per server if there are 10 (obviously some servers may have less and some may have more). Still leaving a sh!t load of people without a home so to speak

the question is though, how are you going to make an outfit before playing the game...who are you going to recruit? random ppl who want to join? theres no way to see if they can fill a role in your outfit, unless of course youre beta testers and can see how a person plays...that is, unless youre just trying to find fun ppl which is just as good if you ask me

Start up an outfit with people you have already gamed with. And only add members that are highly reccommended and/or have excellent stats.

That's why I like ATF -- they're all Tribers! Even if you don't join a specific outfit, as long as you stick with the ATF I'm sure there will always be stuff to do.

People may want to make an outfit for, say, a group of friends, classmates, folks in a dorm, thier sewing circle, whatever.

Actually, this is a good question - I haven't seen the number come up before. In EQ, I ran a small guild for my friends, we just beat the minimum requirements.

Related questions might be:

What happens if you drop below the minimum? Will outfits be purged at regular intervals?

Is the minimum membership based on accounts or characters?

Is there any linking of outfits on multiple servers, or is each server completely separate as far as outfits are concerned? Does this include stats?

Will there be any requirements for creating an outfit, other than the minimum number of players? (Example: EQ required you have a written charter that was approved).

Do outfits have any rank/structure other than leader and member?

Does a player have to be on-line to receive an offer to join an outfit?

Are there any provisions for leaders who drop, go inactive, cancel their account? How about other outfit members with outfit related powers (if any) - is it possible to kick a leader?

Food for thought.

Obviously it is 1. How can you invite people to join your outfit if you can't make it till people join?

Well, in DAoC you would form an ordinary group, such as one might have in PvE -- no more than 8 people. Get a full 8 people in your group, go to a certain place, and sign up as a Guild. The others all have to be there and click 'Yes' to a pop-up box, and it costs a small amount of money from the creating player.

That's not a bad system. If you can't get at least 10 people to join AT LEAST for the creation process (people could leave afterwards, the guild would persist), then you probably don't have enough in-game friends, or people skills, to have any business setting up an Outfit.

Obviously you have not played DAoC where you are required to have a full group in the capital city of your empire to start a guild (outfit).

*edit* bah luc beat me by 1 minute, blasphemy!

Fairly certain it is 10. There is no limit on how big it can be however.
