Planetside 2 has some of the deepest customization I've seen in a FPS.
It's a tragedy we're limited to THREE saved loadouts. It's been a big deal to me since day 1. But now my friends and I are getting more and more tools of war and are constantly having to edit our loadouts. I do not put the same amount of time into every class, there are a couple I really spend time and money on. So I gain weapons, certs, and gear for certain classes. As an Engineer here are all my main variables Weapons: Gauss Compact S ACX-11 SMG Shotgun AV/Mana Turret 3 Suit Options 2 Utility Options And the vehicle I'm in can change my role Each one of those has at LEAST 3 different configurations. Between camos, silencers, ammo type, smoke/nade underbarrel, and camos. It's even worse with vehicles. My reaver is almost 40% unlocked, all I do is fly. I'm starting to outfit my reaver for different roles, but decided to stop because it's such a pain to rechoose all my weaponry every time I want to switch roles. I really can't believe things like more character slots were added before this. A LOT of SOEs focus lately has been facilitating cross empire/server play. I think that's enough "alt" focus and they should get back to letting us develop a SINGLE character. Anyone else feel this way? Share as many concepts of implementation as you like, but for feedback purposes don't forget to say if this is you want and think should be added

I wholeheartedly agree. I'm going to make the assumption that they are keeping this in the bag for future membership benefits.

All we have to do is speculate on whether they've already started and how far they're along. Plus, who else feels that there should be "refit" function at vehicle pads where you can change the loadout of a vehicle you've already spawned? Should I make a separate thread for this and where? |

Ah, well I stand corrected then. Guess I should have known that it was a known fact
Suggestions for improvements etc. go in the idea vault.

Personally, I would like to see even more customization options when it comes to weapons (stock slot, magazine slot, cosmetic slot, more choice per slot, etc.) so you can really make them your own.
But yeah, you're absolutely right. With the ever expanding weapon arsenal, three load outs is totally not cutting it anymore to a level that it becomes really annoying. Therefore, 5 load-outs default/for non-members seems only fair as they acquire/buy weapons too. For more they can buy them. Premium members should get 10 load-outs. |

I would buy as many load outs as possible. The different weapon attachments alone could fill several with multi roles, but I also change my camo for every continent. So I'd want to multiply what ever they come up with by 3.

I have a brilliant Idea: Make the "Camo" section deeper. So when you click on the Camo tab, you get a list on the left-hand-side of the screen (like when managing classes or vehicles) with the different continents. Then, your camo will change for each continent. DO WANT. |

I got like 5-6 primary weapons for each class.
Also I got 5 launchers. Almost getting the last one. I don't think anyone have a idea how it is bad to be forced to edit your load outs everytime the situation changes, like the coming of the night, or changing continents, or changing battle conditions, like you will now attack a Biolab. Everytime the night comes all those night vision sight for vehicles and weapon really takes time, normally I just adjust them well I am going to use it, if I did that with all load outs it would take forever, I remember when I reached level 15 and started creating loudout for all classes and discovering that some classes had 4 primary weapons so I had to select one that I will never use until I get auraxis with a previous one in that class, which can take forever! That's why I am more favorable to a global override camo slot that can be changed fast for all classes them having difference load outs for every continent, even on Indar I switch camo lots of time, one for arid jungle, another for the desert, I even use jungle camo! Esamir is more easy, white all the time. And digital camo looks like the best to fight at night for the TR, much better them the alpha squad camo, that I only use when I want to get attention.
