Are they REALLY going to unlock cross-faction equivalents?

This is kind of a follow-up to an earlier thread wherein someone posted a spreadsheet identifying what the "equivalents" are, and where there was a link to the reddit where Higby indicated they wanted to go in that direction.

But... will they really?
Will anything further be unlocked between characters that is not already unlocked?

What do you think?

Im hoping they reverse their stance on cosmetics at least. Apparently "Composite Armour" is faction specific, which is a load of bollocks really. Its not like it even gives any sort of ingame advantage.

I hope they do something. I have almost every weapon for engineer bought, only one with certs. Why wouldn't I be able to use almost every engineer weapon at the different faction. It's not like I'm going to buy all the same weapons for that different faction again, so they won't get any money for keeping them still locked. Opening the weapons cross-faction however might encourage people to buy more weapons.

I've gotten the Cammos, the Deci and the Annie (Plus an AV turret that I don't use). Honestly there's not too much more I need.
