I just moved across country and had to leave my desktop at home, leaving me with a crappy Samsung Q330 with integrated HD graphics (whoopee!). So now I'm starting to get PS 2 withdrawal symptoms. I log in every 24 hours to get my daily certs, but I'm completely ineffective at everything else as I get < 10 fps.
I'm sure there are others on the forums in a similar situation. Are there any of you who would like to play PS 2 these days but are stuck with an obsolete machine? Let us know about your pain! Do you think that SOE should try some more ideas to keep those with crappy PCs involved in the game? EDIT: deleted my idea as it is pretty much the same as the PS 2 app. Can anyone confirm for us whether this will be available on PC browsers as well as iphones/ipads? I don't actually remember if we'll be getting a browser app. I would think so, but I'm sure someone else will be able to correct me on this.

The mobile Android/iOS app is literally a mobile version of the players.planetside2.com site save for the voice chat functionality, you even have to refresh the map manually to get the same thing you would here:
https://players.planetside2.com/#!/planetstatus So if you're looking for a browser app, that's pretty much it, though they hinted at adding more features in the future. |
