Cyssor - A tribute Continent.

I would love to see Cyssor developed as a tribute continent to the old Cyssor. It seems it would not be hard to make it with the exact same landscape as the original, just with the new skin. Flight ceiling may even reach the top of Mount Cyssor. Hell, I say put a new base inside of it, but beyond that, make the continent the exact same as the old and make some of the bases old school as well.

Yes! Cyssor was by far my favourite continent in PS 1. I was so disappointed not to see that under consideration in the sequel. I would cry tears of joy if the devs considered making it again .

Would love at least one old school continent and none would be better than Cyssor. The epic siege fights we had at Leza with Vanu and/or TR trying to storm the beaches of our island fortress; it was the site of some of the coolest, biggest fights in all of Planetside 1.

I have never played PS1, despite the claims SOE likes to make (veteran patch). Can someone enlighten me on this "Cyssor" continent and why it was so great?

Bridge battles + excellent battle flow + Bases on islands, we wont see its like again until forgelight gets a real handle on depicting water on a scale larger than streams.

.
Thanks for that pic LayZ ....... I was having a hard time visualizing it accurately.

I support Piggy's asking (pleading/begging) for it to come back essentially the same
but with the new game skin. With so many changes from PS1 to PS2 I can't imagine
it being as fun.......

"Mem'ries,
Light the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? Could we?
Mem'ries, may be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So it's the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember...
The way we were...
The way we were... "
.

Cyssor was okay, except the Southwest corner. Fuck Leza.

Unfortunately the scale wouldnt fit on PS 2. The map would be smaller than that and wouldnt fit all the bases on... would be cool tho back to cyssorside

I remember that continent too well!

When they introduced the liberator, the bridge battles was ruined, because every time your team started to take the bridge, one liberator did a strafing run to ruin your day.

Before we had liberators, it was very nice to cross those land waters with the deliverer and flank enemy positions!

Also, I lost the count of how many tank had my team destroyed laying ambuses on road to the south of Honsi bio lab.

Also, I think no one will ever forget Gunuku there was even an outfit called defenders of Gunuku! Dude, the Crown is nothing compared to Gunuku, the crown is on the top of a montain in the center of the map, Gunuku is in an island in the center of the map, with 4 towers and 4 bridges to defend! It was the ultimate bad ass base!

Of course we need some adjustments for planetside 2, but having that old continent back would be awesome!

Much bigger Map ?. Absolutley.

And sure, Leza (or Gunuku) could become the "new Crown". whatever. I sure as heck would give a bigger map Redux of Cyssor plenty of time to grow on me. The devs would certainly look for ways to tweak flow to make it work well ..... I tend to be more "try it" vs. the naysayers who shoot almost every idea ('cept their own) down.
