Alerts are Magic


Alerts produce miracles. Several times now when there was an Alert on Indar (on Miller at least) i noticed that even though the crown was bordered by all factions there was minimal activity there. Once in that situation i moused over the crownand saw one of the most beautifull things i have ever seen in this game. No activity. And the continent was full too!

Alerts = fights. That's what I really love about 'em.
Nobody will just sit there and let you ghost cap.

Yeah they are fantastic for that. The 20% exp boost for fighting on a cont with an alert is fantastic. They need to expand the system ASAP so there can be more minor regional events going as well. So one cont can have the big alert and the other 2 can have more regional events going on directing people to the frontlines there.

The more people are fighting the better this game is. It's that simple. Ghost capping and zerging into undefended territory make this game boring and cause people to quit.

For a regional system, I'm personally hoping that we'll see the mission system take care of that. If we ever see the mission system that is.
That way A CR5 can put down not just such info as where people are needed but what kinds of people (air support, tank support, AMS, etc...) and how quickly.
In my mind it's a much more <insert word I can't think of right now> 'better' system than a regional alert would be.

Im liking the alert system as well, Im usually on (Miller) at that time and I hang in the fight till the end usually.

Any body know what type of mission alerts there going to have, I hope they do the convey missions, as well as the assault missions. I think that would be cool.

We already know from the other thread that this is myth. Miller only has alerts on Esamir.

My outfit is small and no one was really doing anything. I got into a random squad when an alert went out for Amerish and it eventually grew into a full platoon with people using in game voice comms and working together. I had a lot of fun with them and seeing active fights along the front lines of territory was pretty awesome.

I like the alerts a lot so far. It really moves people across the map trying to get as much territory as possible.

This. There is fighting real fighting without people saying oh "there is resistance there lets go cap someplace else."

Last alert on Amerish I saw however the TR steamrolled because the NC/VS wouldn't leave the crown so they were at a huge pop disadvantage.

Anyway yeah the 20% XP increase and knowing i'm going to a fight makes alerts awesome.
