hate when that happens ;\
I did ask Higby if it's intended that the HS/NV could not see infils when they're cloaked, and he said it must be something with shaders. Hopefully that means it's getting fixed, because as it is right now I cannot see infils through HS/NV at all if they're stealthed. |

Although given Higby's hostility to stealth gameplay and Infiltrators you've got a a good chance of getting the change you want. |

I use HS/NV and I can't see inflis, and I don't think I should. Maybe they could make a special sight for that. I admit that the sight is OP close range, but you literally can not see ANYTHING past about 50m. All it is is a big blur of dark. Another problem with it is that rapid movement with it can be very jarring and disorienting, plus there is that initial disorientation while adjusting to a new color pallet. Again, this helps to balance. I think its pretty balanced. Its really only good for picking a pie slice and covering that out to 50m.

I remember when I was the only one in my squad carrying hs/nv sights, everytime a infiltrator was detected it was my duty to find and kill him.
Now the only real counter to infiltrator are well placed mines, some infiltrator are so damn good that evens full squad searching for one in a tower we could not find him and he keep killing us from time to time. I still have 3 weapon with hs/nv sight to fight the Vanu during night time, and I can kill enemies in longer ranges that 50m, just because they are not highlighted, doesn't means you can't see them.

No, but I heard you can see them with the white one from the vehicles, I really must test that, got it in for my liberator zephyr px, and I will test it next time I log in.

I don't think having infiltrators show up on the sight would be unbalanced. They aren't meant to just run towards the enemy. They should, as the name implies, infiltrate. That means going around and doing stuff at the base or just go around the enemy team and attacking from behind. Sniper "infiltrators" wouldn't even have a problem with this, since they are usually farther away than around the 50 meter range. But they still can't change this since it would start another "x is op!!1" thread on forums. |

I use NV sights a lot these days, and I pretty much never play as an Infiltrator - and I've got to say that I have no problem at all with the NV scope not showing them. The NV scope is already very, very useful - being unable to see Infiltrators is a perfectly reasonable (and interesting) downside.
Here's a tip for those whining: if you think there's a cloaker around - stop staring down your scope and look around for them without it. Is that too hard for you? |
