For the blocked:
We're pulling the MAX update from GU07 this week. We want to get some more time to test and tune before releasing it. Sorry about that!

Also you should look at the Roadmap. MAX update isnt the only thing that got moved around. Flamethrowers are pushed back too (well they are more or less a part of the MAX update anyways). A small update on the Loadout Screen Revamp. IIRC there is some other stuff that is now "unscheduled" too (like the Light Assault Update).

I guess we will see a post from Higby later on.

The pump shotgun disaster probably has them realizing that you cant just add cool stuff because its fun to use.

I hope so. Like you said, other than the regular bug fixing and the VS damage buffs, I didn't think there was anything else of substance going into this update.

I wouldn't call it a disaster, necessarily. It is however my one and only point of contention on the "Is PS2 P2Win?" issue. As far as I am aware, it is the one and only thing for which there is no comparable counter-measure to for a new player or one who hasn't bought a shotgun, barring NC players who get shotties on our vanilla MAXes.

Yeah thats something I'm asking myself right now. Whats left for GU7? Are the weapon updates that Chez was talking about still in? Like the VS damage fall off thingy? I guess we wont see the MAX AV weapon pass yet (makes no sense to implement that if they pushed the whole MAX update back).

So I guess we will see:

NS Pistol
Battle/Scout Rifles update
VS drop off change
Grenade Update (trajectory)
UI updates (Map, Loadout screen)
Bug fixes

Overall it feels more like a small patch than one of the GUs...

Yep. Thats part of the UI update for the Loadout Screen. On the Test Server you can already test it out. While its pretty neat its not something that makes me go all "Wow thats cool".

Does this mean the TR and VS AI MAX weapons are not getting tweaked yet as well?

If so then I don't have to wait for the update to make a thread I was wanting to comparing the new HMG stats to the newish shotgun stats. I can just use the old videos I made a while back for TR and VS with the ones I just finished editing for the changed Hacksaw and Mattock.

They had to nerf an item severely - that many people bought - quickly after release.

Its was not at all what they wanted to have to do - they dont want people deciding to not buy new gear for fear it will be nerfed.

...but the max (TR in my experience so far) needs moar anti tank stuff/ the stock grenade launcher, the M3 pounder, needs a buff! the weapon isn't very good against ANYTHING, due to the low damage it does to tanks-even lightings- AND due to the low splash damage and high bullet drop, it isn't good at killing infantry either!

or maybe i dont know what i am talking about, but this is from my experience, and testing it out in VR.

First its pulled from march roadmap. Now aprils gu too.FFS. if when its released and say one of the max abilities is op.. then u gotta ask Wtf u were guys doing. I've seen indie devs release content on schedules better.

Also... does the roadmap even apply anymore. Lots of febs and marches items are still waiting to be added. And not even difficult things either... As sundome said.. more of a small patch, which begs the question.. Wtf is SOE doing, constant push backs, piss poor q/c (tell me a update that didn't break something major) it seems like a lazy company.

Lazy? No. Too optimistic when they made the roadmap? Yes.
