So here's the question, you fight a lot during an Alert and there is less than 5 minutes to go but either the computer or the game decides enough is enough and crashes you to desktop or locks up by the time you log back in the Alert is over and you've missed out on the reward.

Q: Should you get the XP retroactively because there was so little time left on the clock or as there is now you get squat and better luck next time?

So, here is the scenario. You come home from work and decide to catch up the the last 24 hours of 4chan that you have missed. While your doing this your eating some cheese on toast.

With sweaty palms you log on to PS2 60 seconds before the end of the alert. Not only is your empire going to win, but they get a domination win. 20k XP BOOM. Back to 4chan.

Short answer :- sucks to be you.

Long answer :- The game allready struggles to remember what squad you were in, what cont you were on and where you were stood when you DCd. Im not expecting it to get any better any time soon. Thats a tonne of data to be tracked for everyone thats online just in case you go offline, compared to very little gain ie the handfull of people that crash at that exact point.

Ive had both the above scenarios happen to me and I just shrugged my shoulders and moved on. Treating it the exact same as I would of base cap xp. Its just not worth the brian cells woryig about. With the ribbons, defence bonuses, extreme threat kills, multi kill bonuses etc etc. Just go kill some dudes and you get more xp.

Lots of people wanted command xp, and base cap xp to be relative to the time actualy spent at that base, for some reason it just didnt happen.

Once I got the redeploy lock on in the last minute of the warning.
It was frustrating.

I guess they could track the attendance of each player and reward them accordingly, but is it worth it?

I mean, it's just a few thousand points. It's not that big a deal.
The purpose of the event still worked, right? You had a good fight while online.

Attendance based points would be better, but I do think the devs have more important stuff to work on right now.

Just my 2cc.
