Quality Assurance... usually what QA means... the term most people don't believe really exists in a dev house. Must have been a QA Dev....
More tron lights! I like the ones they have out now for the Galaxy.. the Scythe one is underwhelming and the Liberator is just OK, but the Galaxy looks awesome. I haven't played much on my TR character to see what the Mossie looks like. |

For people who are unaware of a generic software development process:
-Dev team makes stuff and will test it out themselves quickly. (You'll almost never see this as it's purely internal) -After code is cleared, it gets passed on to Quality Assurance. (Can be perceived as alpha/beta) -After QA signs off on it, it's passed onto User Acceptance Testing (beta for sure). UAT is usually a group of people who are in-house, 3rd party contracted, or YOU, PS2 players who are willing to test it out for them for free. -After UAT clears it (verifies that after dev, QA, and UAT testing, they have seen no problems with it), then all users get to use it when deployed in a patch/release. The PS2 test server seems to be a culmination of both QA and UAT with QA getting access to more *new* stuff. I work for a software development company and have worked in all stages of this process. And don't say you'd love to be paid to test stuff out because I guarantee you that you will think otherwise when you're told to "run the flash into a corner and use full boost then eject" for the 200th time after the 6th code change to fix a bug. It is usually fun stuff but you do end up doing tedious crap like that. AND I WILL PAY FOR LUMIFIBER WEAPON ATTACHMENTS! Last edited by thehelios; 2013-04-27 at 07:01 PM. |

*Upvote*
As a dedicated Infiltrator that uses an SMG w/ Laer Sight (yeah, starting to think it's counter-productive to the whole "stealth" thing), I'd need something else to make me stand out more when I shoot you in the back. And if it doubles as a flashlight replacement, then hell yeah. |
