Top Gear - Auraxis Edition

I have been waiting for the Harasser for a while, now that it is available in the VR on the test server, I have gotten to mess around with it and the thing is just crazy amounts of fun.

What do you guys think of it's handling? Discussion of the 3rd seat and Max potential is cool, but what of its handling? Is it too bouncy? I have suicided in it plenty of times w/ and w/o the boost. It is fun when in the VR on the test server, but when I'm actually in a good battle with friends and such, I don't think I'll take to the repeated deaths so lightly. Also, who needs the shield defuser when you can just ramp and fly over the walls...

Yea right now it is too easy to "catch air" and you fly a bit too high with it.

Only available on the VR? So that's why my game would crash every time I tried to pull it on Indar, Esamir, or Amerish...

I pulled it lastnight on the test server and didnt have any crash issues. Also the handling is a little sensative, it reminds me of my sundy when I try to turn and give it gas, the damn thing wants to roll and kill everybody in the bus. I thought the performace certs took care of most of that. Ill check it out again tonight though. It is cool though huh.

I didn't have enough time to try it on the VR (I forgot about the VR anyways...) because I had to go and try out the new MAX abilities. The NC one is pretty neat, I guess... The TR one is good, but the animation is sucky. You just stomp each foot like a sumo wrestler and are "anchored down." It made no sense to me whatsoever. I didn't get the chance to do the VS one though. But by the sounds of it, it needs a slight buff. I did, however, come across a TR Harrasser pummeling an outpost. It took me and 1-2 other guys to take it down. (I think it was a full crew on the damned thing). So, I guess I'll have to check it out again tonight.

The thing feels bugged atm: glitchy animations, way too bouncy, insane jumps. It's obviously not ready for release yet.

It is, but I am torn between wanting it to stay and wanting it to get fixed. It is incredibly fun and does actually have some tactical/practical use for getting into a base, but it is a little over the top similarly to how the Flash was a few months ago (keyword there is 'was').

PS2 needs fun vehicles. All of them are slow and sluggish and boring. I gues they could tone down the air time a bit and it'd still be fun.

True, finding that balance between fun and realistic/legit is the challenge. I hope SOE handles it well.

Ha, it does seem like that.
