While recording some Bad Company 2 gameplay footage in preparation for my gamer survey, I experienced the most exciting one minute of gameplay so far to date. It was almost like watching a scene from a Michael Bay movie.
My pulse was pounding when all was said and done. It was the perfect trifecta of visual effects, sound effects, and pure fun gameplay that I've experienced to date while playing a game. While I've had some really fun moments during large battles in PS2, I can honestly say that none of my PS2 gameplay (or any other game for that matter) has even come close to what I experienced while playing a 4 year old game. Have any of you experienced just as thrilling a minute of PS2 gameplay yet? Last edited by omega four; 2013-04-26 at 10:59 AM. |

I have better runs than this on a daily basis in PS2. There is often much more going on and a lot more explosions... TBA that clip was very boring.
Here are 3 mins of much more excitement =) Last edited by SolLeks; 2013-04-26 at 11:04 AM. |

Yes. I had an hour of intense combat last night. Way more exciting than that. We held Scarred Mesa Skydock against hordes of TR. We must have destroyed at least 10 sunderers. It was raining mosquito parts.

The main difference though was the PS2 action in that instance was a little less "up close and personal" as we were repelling air attacks and sporadic infantry attacks via the jump pad platform. I'll post that PS2 gameplay footage shortly. |

Nice compilation video but it really doesn't count.
I'm talking about one CONSECUTIVE minute of gameplay action, not a 3 minutes of clips from different gameplay times cobbled together in a montage.

If you really want to break down videos and games.. in BC2 the only reason that 1 minute clip is even possible is because of the fast HP regen in that game. Otherwise that person probably would have died shortly after his screen went deep red before regening back to full health mere seconds later. The player was an engineer.. no medic pack.. the in game regen saved his butt.. which is lame. Almost said something about that too. Part of the vid is just shooting people that have no chance to retaliate. Last edited by Dragonskin; 2013-04-26 at 11:36 AM. |

And whilst BFBC2 is a good game, it seems; well, very one dimensional when compared to PS2, even though PS2 still has issues. |

I need to set the record straight. As I was the gamer in the video (recording BC2 gameplay footage for my surveys), I know a little about what you're saying firsthand.
* Regen in BC2 does NOT begin until you're no longer under fire for a period of 10 seconds. I was under fire during that clip segment. * My health was regenerating quickly because nearby friendly medics dropped medpacks, which regenerate health MUCH faster than natural regen ever could. This is NO different than PS2 combat medics using their regen guns on you while you're injured. In fact, PS2 has MORE regen gimmicks by way of regen grenades and ressurection grenades, regen stim injections, etc than BC2 ever had. * The enemy soldiers in that video WERE able to fire back and defend themselves as they were only waist deep in water. You cannot fire only if you're neck deep in water. Lots of comments being made about the video in question without really understanding BC2 gameplay mechanics or paying close attention to what's going on in the video.

Anyway I don't understand the point of this thread. I'd be amazed if anyone who has played PS2 hasn't seen this much action in one minute. |
