Question about the AGN Developer Interview held this winter, please help...

Talking on locking down a continent:

Ok. It�s pretty basic, and about what you�d expect. The idea is you have to own, not hack, you have to own all of the facilities on the continent. That doesn�t include towers, just the base facilities. So the buildings that I talked about before: the bio labs, the amp stations, drop-ship centers, those things. If you own every single one on the continent, then the warp-gates on that continent will flip to secured.

Buying buildings? What? This interview takes place WAY AFTER THE ECONOMY WAS CANCELLED, so what gives??


Please someone teach me what "owning" and "buying" a building means?!!?

but what about the second one? i don't think you can lock down a continent by owning all the vehicles on it -_-

Whatever the case, don't panic, I'm sure he just misspoke.

I think he means that once you've hacked a base and held it for 15 mins, you then "own" that base. He's saying that if you empire has only one base left before you lock down a continent, you can't just sneak and inf suit guy in and hack the base. You still have to hold it for the 15 mins before the continent locks.

And yeah, he probably just goofed on the 1st quote.
