The Monoliths

Just wondering if anyone bothered to look for them. I found them all out of complete boredom (and a lot of help from Planetside Syndicate).

I also noticed they gave a brief debriefing on an object they were nearby, such as the one on Hossin had something to do with the tower nearby, and the Solsar one told you about a group of NC snipers who were vaporized from a geowarp appearing. Has anyone known they existed, or even bothered to care about them?

Funky looking rocks somewhere on each continent, give a small portion of historical info and a few experience points when you first come across them.

There were too few of these kind of world interaction things, IMO.

As I posted in the thread linked above.

"I remember when I first ran into a monolith. The first one I saw was the on on Amerish but I didn't know about them and had only flown over that one. Then I got caught up in a big footzerg on the south side of Forseral and ran into that one. At that point I got kinda wrapped up and without going to a PS-Wiki or asking anyone I took off on a quest to find them all and get the whole back story.

Through that search (which I did in two play session, seemed like days that I didn't actually shoot at anyone) I saw and gained a lot of appreciation for the massive size of the world and just how awesome the landscapes really are."

I thought the whole back story and lore tied in with the monoliths was pretty cool to read. I kept the explorer merit on for quite a while after that because I was kinda proud of going out and finding them without help.
*HINT* on finding them that I figured out. The load screen for each continent is a shot from ~near the area the monolith can be found. This helped tremendously on Hossin and Searhus, and Solsar from my recollection. Amerish, Ishundar Esamir and Forseral I just happened into randomly. Cery I was looking for and it just popped up for me. Cyssor? I don't recall at all... or Oshur... is there one on Oshur?

Cyssor's is just SW of Gunuku.

There was one on old Oshur, don't think there are any on the Battle Islands.

I'm pretty sure the Monoliths appeared when Auraxis became a bunch of 'allods'. So there wouldn't be one on old Oshur.
