Prisoner of War Event - Connery Server!

Friday 6/7/2013, We had a Prisoners of War Event on the Connery Server, absolutely tons of fun. Held between the Total Recoil [TXR] Outfit of the TR, and the Nova Tactical [NOVA] Outfit of the NC.

Mission Briefing: During a Terran Republic Air-Drop operation gone horribly wrong, 6 Republic Officers were lost behind enemy lines, Intelligence reports that the hostages are alive but being held as Prisoners of War by a New Conglomerate Rebel Terror Cell that is interrogating them for information. Republic High Command has ordered TR forces have 1 hour to rescue the PoW' before the NC execute them.


Scenario: Hostages.
1). 6 Hostage Medics are Air-Dropped behind enemy lines and are captured by the NC Outfit, They must follow NC instructions if they want to live.
2). Hostages can't use any weapons at all, no guns, no knifes, no Utility Explosives.
3). The Hostages are forbidden from any communication with all allied TR forces with the exception of proximity chat.
4). Hostages primary objective is to survive and make it back to the TR Warpgate.
5). If the Hostages are legitimately executed and not just lost to pub player interference, they cannot return to TR forces for the duration of the event, they must try to interfere with the event as VS Characters. Choosing to either support TR rescue efforts, or hinder them.


Scenario: Terran Republic (Rescue Ops)
1). TR must kill all hostiles and rescue all 6 Hostages (6 Points total, Minus 1 for each PoW' lost).
2). TR only needs 1 PoW Alive, Rescued and brought back to the TR Warpgate to win, Casualties among the hostages are acceptable losses.


Scenario: New Conglomerate (Rebels)
1). NC must hide and keep the Hostages away from TR forces.
2). NC reserves the right to wound or execute hostages pending on the level of trouble each individual hostage gives them.
3). NC wins if the TR fail to rescue the hostages within the allotted time, or all 6 hostages are legitimately executed. (5 Points if all hostages survive captivity and never return to TR hands, Minus 1 point for each hostage executed before the intended time)


The following is a recovered first hand account of the horrors that the TR Prisoners went through in a hidden NC prison camp.


We were able to smoothly organize and conduct this event by having both Outfits all in the same Team-Speak, to monitor TR proximity chat the NC had one of there guys as a TR medic hiding among the hostages.


Ultimately the TR failed to rescue the prisoners and the NC ended up executing them all. TR High Command is already identifying vital NC Officers for some classic terran revenge!

At one point we had Mass MAX Melee Fight, the NC won that and we discovered the MAX can melee punch a Sunderer to death, very scary

Was somewhat inspired by Arma, [NOVA] Primary game for there community is Arma, there better known as ShackTactical. We were really fortunate to be able to organize the event with them, There insight in how those Arma scenarios work really helped in making the PoW event happen.
