Weapon selection options keep the new but add in the old

Not sure about anyone else but I would really love to have an option in game to revert back to the old style of weapon selection.

I much prefered being able to select my UBGLs by pressing number 2,

Having to press 1 to pull out my primary and wait for it to deploy and then 1 again to just select the UBGL or other attachments and again wait for it to deploy it's just to time consuming for me, especially in a game like this where even a few seconds means life or death.

Keep the new style as I'm sure many enjoy it but please give me back the option to having the old one, it was far superior imo.

Now if only we had a dedicated pistol key. I hate it when I have to guess in a panic which key whips out my pistol the moment I run out of ammo in a close-range skirmish.

For Heavy Assault it's 2 by default

For my Engineer and Light Assault who I use the Solstice SF (UBGL), that same key brings out my smoke launcher and number 3 is my pistol.

For those moments of extensively playing Engineer and then I which back to my main class (HA) I press 3 and I pull out my big ass Lancer instead.

As far as I can tell, there's no dedicated keybind to pull out only your pistol or rifle.

the last change they made changed it so all pistols are pulled out on 2 and both primary and attachments were fixed to 1, is yours still set to the original model?

I like the new setup more, but my only problem is that I have to remember that it changed. I don't play with UBGLs much, but now I have to force myself to press 1 again since I have been used to pressing 2 for awhile.

(Late reply) I believe it's using the updated scheme, I remember pressing 1 as an engy and LA to switch to my smoke (which I like). I'll log on tonight and see if I can resolve this.

Re: Weapon selection options keep the new but add in the old

I was never a fan of using number keys for picking a weapon. The mouse wheel was always the best option for me with going from weapon to weapon. Numbers 2 and 3 are the only number keys I can hit without looking for them. Keys 1 and 4-0 just are not within my reach without having to lift my hand off of WASD and that makes those keys useless to me.

On my medic it was 1 scroll down for smoke, 2 down for pistol, 1 up for C4, 2 up for tool. I am good with numbers and counting the number of scroll clicks is piss easy for me. Now that I can't use the wheel for underslungs I unbound pistol off of number 2 and put my main weapon there. Never bothered to rebound my pistol key yet. Hell I don't bother to use my pistol anyway outside of the VERY rare case I fail to kill in a full mag and don't die from return fire.

The moment this change went live I didn't like it.
