It looks exactly like a railgun, and it lacks a scope.

Makes me think it might be similar to Halo's railgun. High-damage, high-velocity, single-shot rail gun that lacks a scope and is best for mid-range combat.

Less interestingly, it could also just be a shotgun.

im taking a wild guess here but it seems like the weapons they have been showing as of late look as if they are sniper caliber and with the infiltrator update being next up it would be a smart guess that we are getting more snipers.

An NC railgun for snipers would make me wanna swap factions SO HARD.

I sincerely hope TR gets something just as shiny.

Maybe a burst-fire sniper, or even full-auto?
Heck, we have selector switches on weapons in-game (hotkey B, by default) why not a SA/Burst/FA selectable weapon?

I just hope if they did something like that, it wouldn't be as terribad as the current scout rifles.

Edit: Oh, my guess as to VS rifle? Lasers. Either that or a charge-up plasma rifle.
Edit2: A continuous-beam weapon would be awesome on second though - but that might work better as a Heavy/Engi-Turret/MAX/Vehicle weapon...

I hope it is. Infiltrators at present, have the smallest selection of weapons of any class outside maybe MAXes...

Also, I know Drakon armor isn't great by most opinions, but it's also the only non-decal customization under 200sc (maybe 250?), and infiltrators can't get it...

...which sucks since I main infi and I got 170 free SC from something and there's like...NOTHING worth buying.

If this is an new NC sniping rail gun, then TR ought to get a double barrel rifle that works like the prowler so two shots before reloading.

I posted another gun a lil bit back and it was a TR weapon alot of people said it was a sniper rifle, or at least looked like one.

But infils get to drive around in possibly the greatest vehicle ingame, the cloaked flash with fury. I love my cloaked wheels of death

though more weapons would sure be welcomed ofc
