No, I will not. I have never played a Battlefield game. The idea is not as appealing to me as Planetside 2. Ultimately, it's the persistant world MMO aspect of the Planetside franchise that has kept me interested for all these years. I have played other first person shooters, but usually not much past the initial single player campaign. The grand scale of Planetside's multiplayer experience and light MMO style character progression is what keeps me engaged. Arena style shooters seem small in comparison, in my opinion.

Depends on how the optimization works out and what kind of plans SOE puts forward after that. Specifically Hossin and adding in an actual purpose to the game: continental locking.
Obviously it also depends on how good BF4 ends up being.

What was wrong with BF3? I've never played it, but from all I have read and seen, it was a wild success. Millions of copies sold, great reviews, several awards won, etc.

Well good news, the open beta isn't far away. Just a three more days until we can all give it a test out. I know it ain't the final product but it would give a general idea of where it's going. After a month, back to old PS2.
Won't pre-order. I never do for obvious reasons. I'll probably just buy it on the day/maybe December, when the price has lowered a bit. |

Me and many of our guys plan on giving it some attention during the Beta and launch. Truthfully it is more of a band-aid as we wait for PS2 to actually start creating content or another game comes "Star Citizen".

I can do a drunken post on the internets or a drunken phone call, at least this is semi-legible.
Also, isn't BF4 owned and distributed by EA? I'll shoot myself in the dick before I buy another EA masterpiece. I didn't even bother torrenting BF3. So not only no, but fuck no. I will not be taking a break for BF4. |

At least for me.. I had so many problems. Battle net being really flakey, horrendous load times getting into a game. Crashing every couple of hours with a crash that has been around in their engine since bf:bc.. Overall it was just a big pile of steaming doodoo, I dont see much merit in paying for slightly updated version of bf3. Even without all the bugs I didnt really find it that fun.
