Why are Buildings NC Colored by Default?

I realize that it's supposed to be the NS color scheme, but it's really, REALLY similar to NC colors:



Notice all the blues and yellows? It'd be nice if the faction that owned the facility in question got to have their colors represented in the interior design. It might also give the defenders a bit of natural camo, which would be a small advantage, but an advantage nonetheless.

Of course this would be a low priority fix, as it seems I'm the only one who's noticed and cared enough to make a post about it. Just something to think about once the devs are done with all this glorious optimization humbo jumbo.

Blue, yellow and grey interiors are pretty neutral to be fair (NS colour scheme). I only dread to imagine the technical arse about face cluster if the models were being reloaded, in real time and every time a base flips. Would this change add to the sense of ownership? No. Would it make the bases multi coloured blotches and pimples on the landscape? Yes.

I therefore do not support this idea.

Would this change add to the sense of ownership? No. Yes. People associate factions with their colors, hence why the banners change color to represent the controlling faction. Imagine if all the banners were all NS all the time, you'd never get the satisfying swapping of color from the enemies colors to yours. That said it is a matter of personal opinion, some notice these things more than others.

Would it make the bases multi coloured blotches and pimples on the landscape? Yes. I don't get this point. Slight color tweaks wouldn't do anything to mess with the continuity of the landscape, it would just establish the rift between one faction's territory and anothers.

I therefore do not support this idea. To each is own, I suppose.

I would like to see more faction themes to a conquered facility then just a red, blue, or purple holo-banner, Maybe faction specific base defense turret unique to that faction owning the facility? Some super death star laser for VS, A long-range camerah guided Tomahawk Cruise Missile for the NC, and maybe hard projectile long-range giant artillery cannon for TR?

Or lightly tint/change the color scheme on some of the walls to be along the lines of the color theme of the conquering faction?

A degree more immersion, something, would be nice.

As long as the flag on the side of the building is red, I don't care the the rest of the building is colored.
