Author Topic: How much time for open beta?
KolxoZ Station Member Registered: Mar 2003 posted 04-04-2003 03:29 PM user search report post -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If Open-Beta CD's will be recieved by those excepted in about 2 weeks (around april 18) and the beta will be over few weeks before the release date, that means the whole test will be less then a week? That does not leave you guys enough time to fix whatever problems will be uncovered during the test. SporkfirePS Station Admin Registered: Jan 2003 posted 04-04-2003 03:37 PM user search report post -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Generally, the bulk of the gameplay issues will have been brought to light and will be investigated by then. Implementing the changes brought up by design changes is one of the more time consuming programming tasks. At that point, we'll be focusing on stress testing more than anything else. These are items that can be debugged in real-time and the necessary adjustments can be made relatively quickly. Well, the E&B(Earth and Beyond) open beta for me at least was about a week till they killed our accounts(if we didn't pay to continue).
I just hope they reconsider and keep the open beta open untill the release date, or a day before.
