Not played in a while and was just wondering if there any news on a buff for the NC MAX yet? Last time I played it was almost completely useless and somebody on this forum has done test of all the MAX guns which ranked the NC MAXs guns at the bottom at every range except 2 guns I think they did best at 0m (and thats not using the skills the TR and VS MAX gets to boost damage).
And please can we not have the same old *but if you sneak up behind me in a NC MAX you can 1 shot me!* as that is hardly a reliable MAX strategy. Oh and don't try the *what about in biolabs* as even the range in a biolab is generally longer than a NC MAXs guns will allow and of course its hardly fair that the NC MAX guns excell in 1% of the places fights are while the TR and VS MAX have guns to excel in the other 99% of places fights are. |

If anything I remember hearing something about another possible nerf for shotguns. Although I can't remember where I heard this form I feel as if it was with the nanoweave/sniper post but I can't find it. It detailed a RoF and DMG nerf. Seeing as how they love to apply their shotgun nerfs to the NC MAX too well there you go. :|

Oh god... the TR MAX is certainly behind the VS one (I seem the remember the VS MAX came out top in about 75% of the category) but its the NC one that is massively behind. The best solution, though one I doubt will happen, would be for them to change the NC MAXs gun to something else.
Shotguns are great and all at point blank but a MAX is slow as hell and very few fights happen at point blank. Shotguns are fine for infantry as they can get close to people more easily be sneaking around, a MAX doesn't have that luxury. |

Absolutely, which is why charge is a good thing for NC maxes - close the range quickly. I've been taken out a few times that and eventually I learned that the proper response was to 'charge' myself, in the opposite direction.

Another solution then could be to change the NC MAX ability to a longer charge that lets you shoot while charging, that way you could close the gap while shooting and chase down enemy MAXs trying to run.

If I charge AT an NC MAX, it's usually to take out his engineers and do what damage I can before he turns around and oneshots me. It's sad that you have to rely on teamwork as a MAX to take down another MAX.

The secret is you don't charge as from any sort of range the NC MAX wont do any damage to you , let them do the charging while you shoot the engie from further away then charge away when they reach you leaving the NC MAX screaming in rage at his useless weapons
