What we all have been waiting for since day one

Really guys? That is honestly the big thing that we all have been waiting for since day one? Are you fucking kidding me?

Now it might have been ok to tease us with nonsense like that if the game you were operating had atleast the goddamn barebones done.
But in a game that is missing fundamental features (and not just one or two i might add) from day one, isn't it natural to assume that something "we have been waiting for since day one" would be one of those missing features?
AND NOT A FUCKING SALE!

For a brief period around the first optimization patch my hope in this game was slightly renewed. Maybe with some effort and more paced development we would get to see some planetside in our planetside in a reasonable amount of time. But reading that hossin will come after the next two "omfg" phases, which is what, march? april? i kind of fail to see how this is going anywhere.

And to top it off with stunts like that, that either show they don't even realize how far off they currently are with PS2, or that they simply don't give a shit anymore, well that's just brilliant.

You know, there is a reason we have these conspiracy theories about PS2 being a Eq:next testbed and quick cashgrab for SOE. The snailspeed development of the actual game and the attitude on display when it comes to selling us things make it more and more hard to argue against these theories.

Tl;dr Don't tease us with shit we don't want when you don't have the shit ready we do want.

How sure are you that this is what we've been wanting since day One?
We had Alpha squad, even before day one, so really...we haven't been wanting this.

Well i haven't seen anything else from SOE during the anniversary except for double xp days and this bundle.
If i somehow missed the big thing, i'd apologize and ask to be enlightened here.

But a thread i saw on the official forums seemed to confirm the bundle was what they were talking about with "what we wanted since day one".
And that just annoyed the hell out of me, because as you mentioned, not only is that not one of the many things we wanted to see, it also is a bad way of promoting your shit.

Hence my rant here.

Understandable and, if true, mildly disappointing. Think of it this way: The major reveal wasn't the bundle, but the fact that SOE is looking at giving us jacking back!

I don't recall ever having vehicle hacking. They said that it was something we havent had since Beta (maybe alpha), IIRC. They're putting back darker nights, but I think that was in for a bit after release. So I'm a little confused if it is either of these, because is Hacking in yet even on PTS? Is there a darker night on the live servers? (IDK, still at work).

Since it doesn't take an awful lot of resources to hand out heroic boosts and some skins, I'd say they had to pull the surprise for now.
I hope thats the case anyway. Otherwise they really are a bit disconnected from their community in what they want. I don't think this is so though, seeing Malorn visit PSU threads and the OMFG videos.

I'm gonna leave this game cook for another 6 months or so now to let some more content bed in. Every time I check PSU I can't help but get dissapointed and since the PU process will go on a while I don't see any satisfaction coming in the short term. The potential is still there I just wanted more in the first 12 months.

There has never been vehicle hacking in ps2. When he says 'back' he means from ps1.

Previously in ps2 the devs have said that vehicle hacking isn't possible but snce the magrider change tray said that it now was. Whether this means that vehicle hacking will ahem 'return' is an unknown at this point. At least unknown until Higby speaks on the subject.

Crash's correct, I was talking about jacking returning from Planetside, not earlier in PS2.
There's nothing for sure, but it's no longer impossible. So, in my mind, the big surprise is that there's the potential for maybe having jacking placed in the game.
If true, I will never equip lockdown (and will spend most of my time in a vanny)

I dont't care about the camo. I have had the weapons for almost a year, except that "type" of Striker. Anyone know what's so different from the Striker we can buy at the Depot?
