no major changes! just -33% damage. that's all! oh also many targets got increased resistance to this damage type but that's all!

oh, also, we changed your mass/gravity a while ago without warning. but that's all!

also there has been nothing positive done to this class directly or indirectly since launch.

no major changes here.

Yeah but quite literally everything else also got nerfed as well as far as vehicles are concerned. So we'll have to wait and see how it pans out on Live.

Somebody didn't read the notes properly, all the resist of vehicles got changed so as it says the change is to make up for that. I think the idea is its trying to make it so with flak armour every single explosion in the game doesn't 1 shot people. I tried running around with max flak armour and tanks using dedicated anti-vehicle ammo still 1 shot me with the splash.

Something had to be done

somebody is, as usual, ignorant. vehicles are not the only target in the game, so no, a 33% damage nerf is not a DPS wash.

it is possible that the TTK will be the same with regard to sunderers and maybe even other Libs. however it's likely that in combination with the turret buff, this will further deny liberators any access at all to large conflicts.

additionally, this thread has nothing at all to do with infantry whining about tanks. i'm just pointing out the unintentional irony of the language, and whining myself that the total train of nerfs to my dedicated class totals something around 20ish with no buffs.

Tbh all the vehicle damage changes are a convoluted mess - they're supposed to have adjusted resists to compensate, but its not clear which targets are actually being adjusted anyway, so all I can say is wait until the live servers are finally back up to pass judgement - it may not be the end of the world.

Anyway, going by your metric didn't the Dalton get a direct damage buff?

yea, you rarely hit infantry directly with it, and it OHKs ESFs already. when you do rarely headshot infantry with a 150mm shell it is pretty hilarious though.

Lib vs Lib is already 2 hits to kill, so depending how the damage resistance changes wash out it may work out to a OHK at say, 55% health instead of the previous 50%ish, or it may remain unchanged like you're saying. meaning it's not a large enough increase to make a very noticeable difference in any particular circumstance.

if it was a change to inner or outer splash damage, or the radii themselves, that would be a much larger buff that you would immediately notice. and i don't think it really needs either, just to be clear.

i suppose it is a direct buff against harassers, since we're being thorough. but they were already pretty lolsy for a Lib, and i'm betting their popularity will drop off very sharply now.

what i'm most interested to test is the combined attack from tank buster directly to dalton, to find out if the TTK on particular targets is changed. especially with regard to turrets.

it may or may not be enough to keep up with the turret buff, but if it is i will be thankful to be wrong. in matters like this i am typically glad to just be wrong and whining for no reason after all. it's not like i'm posting here to win the internet.

in other Lib related patch news: i think the basilisk change may be in our favor. the damage increase from a few months back made them deadly in pairs, and this COF and damage drop change may at least increase the number of them required before an area is just too hot to fly over.
