300% Cert Boost not working... Again!!

Cor blimey doods... another update, and they've broken the 300% cert boost for premium members.

I had logged in last night, around tea time, cos I knew a server shut down was imminent.

This morning, a bit over twelve hours later, my "main" only gets 6 certs, of an expected 24. My "alt," however, gets 25 certs.

They owe me over a hundred certs from the last time this happened. I didn't bother raising a ticket because for so called "minor" issues like this I guess it will just get ignored.

If it happens again I guess I should raise that ticket...

I'm going to keep of log here, I think, so, for the record, I am currently down by 19 certs on one character.

FWIW, I've raised a ticket.

I've asked if they can gift me my lost certs, but I'm not holding much hope out for that...

Its also possible that the timer was reset because of either the patch or the server issues.

Wait till they actually have the server working for 24 hours straight before you get so excited about 17 cert points.

Same problem here, receiving much less certs then I should.
Normally I don´t care, but if you make the math, everytime they update, that happens.
So looks like I lost already 1.000 certs with each char because of that issue.
But looks like I lost more when they were rewarding less certs that they should some months ago.

Have you seen my stats and how long it takes me to accumulate 19 certs FFS? I ain't as good as you dood so I need them passive certs to make up for my lack of skills. And it's not just 19 certs... as I said, this has happened before.

it is possible to get around 60 or more certs in an hour.

hell if you are lucky, you can get 100 certs in an hour, you've just gotta know how to get em

Well I think 250 xp = 1 cert

So to get 100 certs per hour you would need to average 417xp per minute.

I get a little more than 60 certs per hour on average.

Its less about certs/h or even how easily they are obtained and more about SOE not providing what we paid for. No acknowledgement of the issue and no recompense for their failure to provide said items.

But it annoys me a tad when skilled peeps think that everyone can be as good as them, with a little effort. I'm at my best now, and the only time I can improve my XP rate is by either using boosts or jumping in with a BR100 tanker as a gunner.

So trying to suggest that someone of my activity and skill level can earn 60 or more certs in an hour is something I just cannot understand, but I am willing to be educated, if there is someway a "forever noob" like me to farm the zerg...

Yeah, plus one to that.

I should have mentioned that it is fixed now and I got my full quota when I logged in this morning, so thanks for that at least.

I have just checked my e-mails and I am pleased to say that the support team have responded to my ticket, which I had honestly thought would have disappeared into a black hole. Some hope is restored there then.

At the end of his words about the recent server "issues" he says, "I will be able to tell you more and possible give out (some) missing Certs."

The words "possible" and "(some)" don't sound too good LOL. We shall see...

Oh, and this is the last weekend before Christmas so the double XP boost SOE are putting on to compensate for the server issues kinda passes me by because I'll be out and about most of the time. Ah well... Time to stop griping and I might try to jump on tonight for an hour or so and get me some target practice in

If it was a one shot deal from timers being reset during the patch(or server fix) - then you are being a whiner if you feel notably hurt by the lost of 17 certs - I dont care how bad you are at playing the game.

If it was an actual bug that set a new lower rate of cert gain going forward then I could totally see why any player and especially a newer one might be upset.

You obviously didn't read the OP properly. It's not about nineteen certs at all, it's about the fact that this has happened before and it's now well over a hundred certs. And the problem could have continued, leaving me down yet again.

Only an hour's play for someone as good as you though eh?
