Well, I use alot of the "Mask" feature in PSP, for the logos. I play around with "Creating Mask from picture". I use the Effects--Illumination Effects to change the lighting of the original. THIS has effect of allowing me to change the "mood" of the pic. Like for instance, I used some of the "Terran Red" from the terran logo for that terran girl... if you look at the first Vanu babe, that light on her hair was not there originally. I just chose colors from that Vanu logo to make the light look like it was coming from the "neon-ligh Vanu logo".
I used "Soften", some "Burn", and some "Effects--Geometric Effects" to "Skew" and change "Horizontal/Vertical Perspective". This was done to the logos on the girls. Also, I try to get the logo to match the texture and a bit of the color of the girls' skin and clothing. This helps alot to make it appear that thier logos are really there. Really, the best thing is to set aside time, play some music you really like, and sit there and play with it. I DO recommend getting a Graphire 2 Digital Pen and Pad from the company known as WACOM. I use this alot... it helps.
And this concludes lesson #1. Next week we will learn how to paint "fluffy, happy clouds" with traditional oils and canvas, like the late great Bob Ross...
Heh, j/k.. but that guy doth surely ROCK!
