Enjoy/GL. I don't think anyone has any ill will against PS2 on PS4. The negativity comes from the PC Players' experience since PC Beta.

PS2 Devs always fix things that aren't broken (<-click). Just now, apparently they broke all the aircraft, vehicle and turret controls. After nearly 3 years relative stability and fine tuning, they mass tweaked the vehicle controls until it is, in their own words, "good enough" so it can be easy to use in a PS4 gamepad.

Redditside is already full of rage and mockery. Satire video from Reddit....
