whats the chances of geting into open beta? i mean if u already signed up what are the chances of geting it? Web sites are having contests for open beta. Is'nt everyone going to get into open beta? When i tested for other games and the beta went into open they would let everyone in. I hope they let everyone who signed up get it the open beta

I guess I always thought public beta was exclusive and open beta (non-public would be internal beta).
I guess it just depends on the game company whether or not they think "open" means everyone, or "open" just means lots of people. For sony, I can understand them not wanting to send a CD at their expense to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that wants one. Perhaps there's legal reasons why they can't charge for the beta too. *shrug*

They don't charge you. There is absolutely no charge for the shipping of the open beta discs as stated on the email. And I think the chances are high of getting in, because myself and a bunch of friends all got in on the same day

Well, they probably just don't want the clerical work of getting everybody's money then. However, setting up a system that takes credit card payment only probably wouldn't be too difficult if you were Sony I would imagine...
