PtPT: Why do you want to play PS?

I know we're all drooling to play the game... but why? What sets this so apart from all other games that you will dedicate time and money to something that is not even released yet? What things were said that hooked you? Where you bribed? Did your friends turn you onto it? Did Hamma come to your house and demand you visit his site to post on it and make donations to make the PSU team rich indeed?

I know this question has been asked before... just not recently.

And since Open Beta is so close and yet so far (much like release), we have nothing to do but twiddle our thumbs and count down the hours...

So while waiting, why not grab a Snickers?

It was a tough choice since I like something from every option... I hate the polls, I like the teamwork and such, I like to watch things go BOOM, and I knew that SOE was trying to take over the world.

But who cares! As long as they let me play Planetside while they're at it!

I want to play Planetside because I want to be able to log in and go straight to where there is action and start shooting. I know there are plenty of games that I can do that in but I like the whole MMO aspect of the game.

Also, with my work schedule and my kids, I usually don't have a ton of time during the day to play so like that I will be able to log on, kill some enemies and log off knowing I had a good time and I didn't have to spend all day looking for a group or getting to where the action is.

I wanna play PS because its the type of game you would get if you mixed EverQuest, Team fortress Classic and Britney Spears in a big mixing bowl.

I read an article about Planet side by chance and its hooked ever since. the shear size of the game is probably wat makes me wanna play it the most. and i thought BF1942 was big, PS practically dwarfs it.fighting alongside hundreds of peple just sounds so frikin awsome, so long as lag isnt a problem.

It's a game unlike any other, except maybe WW2OL, but WW2OL is nothing compared to PS. The game is essentially a futuristic war simulator. There's very little deathmatch feel to it at all.
