Planetside V.s. Tribe 3

And does Planetside have something to knock Tribe 3 out the box.

Tribes will fight back....but the older ones will die, COMPLETELY....well....PS did to me....i barely map anymore....well actually that was my computer crashing that stoped me....

Tribes 3 hasn't even been discussed has it? How can the two be in competition if one doesn't exist?

EDIT - I just noticed Tribes 3 is "in the works" according to Gamespot. But the release dates for the games are going to be so far apart, I don't see how they can compete.

T3 is being put on the boards since November....or atleast thats when the contract was signed. T3 will come unless Bill Gates takes over.

Ooh, it's been discussed. That's it, i've decided not to buy planetside and just wait a year to two years for tribes 3.

well for one thing, i don't think you can really compare them at all, unless tribes3 is going mmo, which i don't believe it is. and if it's barely been announced i'm sure that the technology in it will blow away what planetside has to offer. i've played trbes 2 in a demo, for like a day. so i can't really give feedback for it, but i don't think they'll really be comparable

Yeah, the MMO thing is the big draw I think. Also, PS is being released now, not next year...

There's the key.

These games won't be coming out at the same time so there's no real problem. If they make T3 a "sport" game like t1 turned out to be instead of trying to make a "strategy" game like they wanted t2 to be it will be very good.

I'll bet that with Planetside out, Tribes 3 will just have be a far different game just to differentiate itself. To me, Planetside is what the T2 developers really wanted all along.

I'll look forward to April 24th, and I agree 100% with Powdahound. I can't wait to see what they're working on.
