Yeah, and how all these people (including me) get thier friends to sign up who don't really care too much about the game, and then they get into the exclusive beta, and never visit the site, or are active in the community... They should have only sent the exclusives to people who visited the PS site ATLEAST 5 times a month. For Christ sake, being completely random is not fair, and that kind of behavious sort of constitutes not having to be part of the community to get into the beta. Which IMHO is pure BS...

TNT2 is probably more rare than a GF4 Ti4200 among gamers. The point of beta testing is to try different setups.

Not for exclusive. The main thing about exclusive was to test balance issues. Open Beta is stress testing and to try the different setups. Or at least that's how it generally is... Knowing SoE they probably re-wrote the beta book.
