All righty Folks, here is my unofficial first impressions of the game:

All of my problems with the game, grief point system, key bindings and other beta related snafu's I have been told by a Dev directly are going to be fixed. And I trust them, after actually setting the proverbial Virtual Foot in PS... I must say.. BOOYAH, and that one is OUTTA THE PARK!

Why?

Simple, I am a Vet of many a FPS, from 3 years playing CS, to DoD, Quake, Doom, Serious Sam, Unreal, SOF2 and BF1942.. oh yeh NS and TFC....
I know a bit abou the genre. And personally, from nearly the get go, I felt there was something.... missing. That was continuity. PS bring my love of blowing stuff up ala FPS gamming, I have always felt short changed at the end of the day.

Now, PS brings that which I so desired. Not endless rounds of mindless 30 minute little maps in which every last nook and cranny is figured out, nay, the game is SO expansive, that I seriously doubt anyone will ever really "know" each continent. You know what I mean? Take CS for example, Aztec, over played but very popular map.. I know it so well I could run through a mock up of th map with my eyes closed.

PS tho, is... it feels like each continent is the size of EQ's Kunark. They may not be in actuallity, but if you have played EQ, then oyu can appreciate the scale I am talking about.

That is the biggest draw for me, behind the no 30 minute map change... Size. And brother, lemme tell ya, SIZE matters.

Also, the sheer amount of variety involved is insane.. truly it is. I cannot think of anything more... astounding then the various way one can die in this game.... and kill.

I think my favorite TR weapon ATM is the Rocklet. I jsut Pown with it. I can toast anyone NOT in a max head to head. I have had much success with this. I actually like ALL of the long range missile weapons. They allow me to... test my skillz in judging time and distance. I know you are at POINT A, and I wanna take you down. Can I hit you?

The other enjoyment I found is sniping. Why? Cause it's dang fun first off :P and secondly, it again is a challange. Much like the Rocket weapons. Can I reach out and touch some one.. right now?

Yeah, every fight is something new. It's a very cool game, and I can't wait to see how it progresses.
