Does the "hacking tool" count as a rifle and what battle rank can you get to in the VR Training?

yes the "hacking tool" is called a REK but i believe it takes up a pistol slot and I also believe you can get up to battle rank 5 in VR training.

Well we start off BR10 so VR doesn't help for now but yeah devs said you can get the 1st 5 BRs in VR.

The REK is a 4x4 item, same size as pistols, ammo boxs(except MAX and vehicle ammo) and all other utility items(med aplicator, BANK, ace and command uplink). To use it you must take out of your inventory and equip it in a pistol slot.
