it is, I think that not many will get cr 2-3 much less 4-5, I am sure that getting 4-5 will take being the leader of a good (large) group and getting base after base after base. *hahahahaha

I imagine that the rise is quite steep between ranks.
For example !!!NOT ACTUAL INFO!!! CR 1 - Cap 5 bases. CR 2 - Cap 15 bases. CR 3- Cap 45 bases. CR 4 - Cap 135 Bases. CR 5 - Cap 405 Bases. So you'd have to achieve continent lock over and over and over again to get CR 5. Yeah, CR 5 is gonna be the ultimate powergamer goal in this game. Or, to prevent everyone from getting massive command rankage, you could have your (effective) bases-taken count reduce by 1 every day if you have not captured a base within the last week or so. "Due to your lack of progress on the front, you have been demoted to command rank 2." So only those who are repeatedly commanders who repeatedly capture bases would reach even CR 2.
