Games don't work on my PC anymore...

Whenever I play a game for more than 10 minutes, it locks up and I have to reboot my PC. Even after I reboot, it still occurs every single time. Also, if I want my games to run smooth, I have to run them as soon as I boot up the PC or else the frame rate goes to hell. I have all the latest drivers for my vid/sound cards and XP. Defragged about 2 days ago.

The 2nd problem happened long before the first but I didn't think much of it...

I really have no clue what's wrong. Any ideas?

My specs:

AMD Athlon 2100+
512mb RAM
60gig HD
Radeon 9000 Pro 128mb
Sound Blaster Audigy
Windows XP

Thanks.

Horrible timing too, since the beta CDs have been mailed already...

Well, I uninstalled DX9 and tested it with DX8. Still not working properly.

Uh, to "uninstall" DX9 you have to completely reinstall Windows. Try that.

That's not true, someone on these forums posted an uninstall for it.

I haven't tested it yet, but here's the thread: http://www.planetside-universe.com/f...install+direct
