The variety of vehicles in PS looks almost overwhelming!
You've got air power, MAXs, light buggys, heavy buggys, light tanks, medium tanks, etc. Are some vehicles best against others? Which ones are just for anti-infantry? The heavy assault buggies that each race has all have rocket launcher-type weapons, are these best for anti-air or anti-infantry or what? Are the heavy tanks just for taking out other vehicles? It seems like it would be really difficult to hit infantry with their cannon-type weapons. Thanks, The Ham |

Well MAX's can be any of AA, AV, or AI. But really, I've seen all take down all the rest.
Those chain guns on ground vehicles work well vs planes, but not as well as an infantry-man with a heat seaking rocket launcher. Planes can take infantry out, but I think ground vehicles do it better because they can run them over, and some have chain guns as well as cannons. And yes, cannons kill infantry very easy, you don't have to aim all that much Planes are best for taken out ground vecihle IMO.

Yes, but if I see a guy running on the ground, I'll give him a few rockets as a parting gift. However, I agree, that reavers generally rock at killing tanks and such, as well as other air vehicles (that might be more dependent on piloting skill, though AMS's beware of a reaver, once I find it, I'm killing it

I would be surprised if they made it that easy for the "assault buggies" to kill tanks, since then why would you choose a medium tank over a faster and more maneuverable assault buggy?
Aren't the slow moving tanks easy to avoid by infantry though? It seems like you could just run around next to the tank and the turrent couldnt pivot fast enough to shoot at you. (That's how it is in real life, after all) |
