From what i've seen it seems the games terrain is mostly hilly an rough. Are there any flat open areas? Does it very from continent to continent? Also, does high ground provide any advantages, such as longer range for artillery weapons? Do tanks and such get slowed down noticably when going up hills? Also, are there any ingame maps that provide acurate elevation information, so you could like direct troops through a valley to keep them out of sight or something.

Yes, there are flat areas. But on most of the places I've been, if you're in an AMS or ANT, you want to stick mostly to the roads, hills slow you down a lot.
Yes, there's advantage to high ground...you can fire down at the people below you, which is easier to do than firing above you (for explosive stuff like rockets anyways). Yes, tanks and such get slowed or come to a stop going up hills. The maps *sort of* provide elevation info, but there's no elevation info toggle. Just have to figure out how to read them. |
