patching problem

Every time I try to play the game the launch bar patches the same 3d sound files over and over again. It takes about an hour.

Then I play and if I quit and restart it goes thru the same patching process and each time I play I have to wait an hour for the patching to complete.

Why is it patching the same files every time? It could be my PC is fubared.

The file is 3dsounds.wav

I recommend posting this on the beta boards. I saw a person over there with the EXACT same problem(not sure if the file was the same), and they may be able to help you.
