In the large battles I get sniped all the time. The snipers are especially useful in the large battles over controll of bridges. They are not so usefull in small battles.
A soldier using a Phoenix is sniper bait. It is tough to defeat the sniper/minichaingun combo.

Just going by the screenshots, snipers are pretty rare. You don't see many people equiped with a bolt-driver, and you don't see many "killed by bolt-driver" messages in the kill tally window.
Oh, and Dharkbayne... you can switch implants on and off. I haven't heard of anyone mentioning a limit on how fast you can do it, so there probably isn't one. You could spend all day beating on that quick-key thing, and not ever run out of stamina or have your long-range vision impacted, all the while being able to see cloaked enemies. But having one hand busy switching back and forth between regular and DL vision would seriously limit your ability to either aim or move. Last edited by NapalmEnima; 2003-04-15 at 03:49 PM. |
