I am in TR now after the patch. I was hoping to start a discussion about maxes. I know there will be a lot of them running around at this time. Start of the list:
Pro: good damage output good armor Con: slow without run on aim slowly can't fit in anything but a galaxy or sunderer? |

Were you trying to talk about TR maxes or maxes in generall, because the VS max is quite nimble. Also the main reason the maxes can't fit in any vehicle besides the Gal. & Sund. is due to the fact that there even is a "Run" mode, it was designed to alow considerabley 'fast' transport over most terrains, it's been said that they can keep up with most convoys speed wise.

Well, it all depends, on which empire , which MAX type, what you are fighting, what wep they are using, and everything else, but it mainly boils down to the Skillz, in my opinion , TR MAX is the best, but VS is the fastest and NC can take the most damage, but most of the TR are n00bs, im not just dissing TR, they really are, so yeah, what was I talking about again?

I've played all the MAXs and I have a few adjustments to the already made comments.
1. TR AI MAX may have "low damage" per shot, but MAN do they put out a lot of shots! It's amazing to me how these things mow through everyone.. 2. TR AI MAX "anchor" ability is both good and bad. Good because it GREATLY increases not only Rate of Fire, but Accuracy as well. Bad because it further limits mobility, and it takes a second to anchor and de-anchor. 3. ALL MAXs suffer from no-hands syndrome. They can't do anything but be MAX. They can't heal you. They can't repair you. And worst of all, they can't use the command uplink device. 4. NC AI MAX is teh win if you are in close quarters, but their accuracy is TERRIBLE at even mid-range. 5. VS AI MAX has that great ability to switch between AP and standard rounds in a split second. 6. VS AI MAX is definitely the most nimble and mobile. Jump jetting to the 3rd floor CC is fun. 7. Since they moved the CC in the towers around, I would HIGHLY disagree with making it so MAX armor can't be purchased at towers. My reason for #7: MAX armor has time delay. If I purchase a MAX armor, I can't buy it again for 5 mins. Trust me, I can run halfway across the continent, die, and respawn all in less than that time. Sometimes I have to wait for my armor to come up. Since they are moving the CC, that's all they needed to do. The real problem was all the spawning and wading through players to get to the CC...not the MAXs. You can take out MAX with grenades and other AV weaponry. And remember the 5 min time delay... The only way I'd agree with making towers non-MAX would be to lift the 5 minute delay. |
