Fix for that damn phoenix

Everyone's been griping about the phoenix (I know I'm not the only one), so why not just speed the thing up? The faster its moving the harder to adjust it to hit a specific target. You could adjust the turning radius too to increase the effect. Just don't change the idea of the missle to some laser-paint thing that ruins the whole fun of the weapon!

nix spam... tisk tisk

I think if they doubled the speed of the missle and cut the TOW time in Half.... it will prolly solve the problem...

They don't really last too long though. Granted, if they were faster five seconds would certainly be a bit much, but I think they're fine as they are. They should make a bigger impact, however. Esp on infantry.

The turning ability of the missile should be reduced to prevent or at least discourage firing it from behind walls and other places where the target of the missile can't possibly retaliate. That's all.

If you want to reduce the effectiveness of a flybywire missle you speed it up and cut the auto-detinate time by the same percentage. The faster it moves the harder it is to target accurately. They could aslo shrink its feild of vision or give it a fisheye lens that would make it harder to navigate.

Yeah, just removing it and giving them the Devastator would be a possibility... but I doubt they'd do it. I'm sure they're reluctant enough as it is to even consider removing the fly-by-wire aspect, because it's "cool".

i thought being able to fire from behind walls was the point of making the damn thing? if the tr can lock on why shouldnt the nc be able to steer from safty?

sidenote: led, i aint got my beta cd yet, has the gauss really been gimped or are u exagerating?
