For all thoughs ppl who played CS, dont u just hate the people who stand around and do nothing talking smack wehn u try and tell them what to do? Now i never been in PS beta, and they have some smart people playing, what happends when this game hits retaile? i really hope we dont get little 5 year olds spamming and being retards. (sorry but it the truth). Now my question in how is the leadership going in this game so far?what do u say, good, ok, or bad? As far as the command and controll to cap or defend bases, do people listen? or is it to early to tell, like most MMOG it takes time for the players to get in the hang of it and teach other newbies. I know PS is going to be a great great game.

Well I've had a mixture to be honest...
I mainly play with my clan New Century Gamers, and we are experienced and cohesive enough to get it done right. We do allow non-NCG into our squads and most of the time people listen well to my orders. Sometimes, they don't, and I usually boot 'em. I've tried to be understanding, as most people are just now getting to learn some of the game features and interface. But a disruptive squad member can cause more trouble than they are worth. My suggestion is that if you are worried about that, then join a large and organized outfit. Playing this game "pub" will be viable, but will not be nearly as enjoyable. That's kinda true of all competitive games, tho. As far as leadership ability...not sure. I usually do the leading. |

It the leadership abilities in planetside are such that you can punish people who don't listen by kicking them from your squad. I think that will help a lot. Of course, it doesn't prevent fools from running infront of you like little fagots. When i was doing the VR training at my friends house people ran infront of me all the time, like i wasn't even there. There's a lot of stupid people out there. That's why it's a good idea to find a clan or something to play with. Most lamers don't join clans because nobody will put up with their err...lameness.

You can kick people from squads cy. Also once you get out in the fields, the stupid people seem to thin out. Although I hacked a base earlier tonight and needed just a few guys to help defend the control room. For some reason, there were 20 people just standing in the basement area defending against the 2 guys that kept trying to retake it.

I would say join an outfit to solve most of your problems there, then at least you know that the people you are with are going to work better.
Also, I think that perhaps the game will be full of people like that when it comes out, but not many of them are going to pay for another month just to keep running around w/o teem work.
