I know there have been several posts on intentional tkin and how people like you run you over in Sanc or kill you for killing an enemy they wanted EXP for...
Well I believe the devs should implement some sort of 'grief booster' that causes all TK's in certain places to have a very serious consequence... for example.. Killing in Sanctuaries - People running you over in sanctuaries is just plain stupid... they must be death with... Maybe if you run over 2-3 people within a timelimit you lose your right to drive a vehicle in sanctuary for a time? Killing in CC - This is one of the most annoying aspects of TK'n. You lead a squad into a enemy facility... your hacker begins to capture the CC.. then a member from another squad comes in and kills the hacker and begins the hack himself for his squad... This should not be tolerated at ALL -- The only ways I know to help this are based on TKs during the actual hack.. maybe give 5x - 10x the grief for TK'n an ally hacking.. then disable the CC from beind hacked for 1-2 minutes until that person returns/logs off/or such to continue their hack before the TK / or perhaps allow the entire squad of the person to hack instead.

TKing is what takes the fun out of the game. Why would you kill your own Teammates when you dont get exp..... ppl do it to be jerks and to think there cool, i mean what if youw as oding awesome for a first time or somethign and your teammate runs over ya shoot ya etc.... i mean come on its worng and uncalled for, accidents i could accept since almost impossible to see the names a ppl from a distance without a scope.... but they could give the ability for FF to be off or on.

While since my squad didn't have the hack at this particular base, this incident was more amusing last night than anything else, I watched a MAX (player name 'jade') completely wipe out everyone in a cc (about 10 people), even though there was not an enemy in sight anywhere. I was outside of the cc and there were about a million people there, so it's not like this dumbass thought that there was an enemy around. Jade just felt like killing everyone, so she did. (btw, it also was not near the completion of the hack, so everyone easily made it back in time to not lose their base capture or assist xp)

On or Off would not be a possibility with this game.
And it must stay On for the realistic feel... and before anyone goes and says 'this isnt supposed to be realistic' I say... fine.. lets gets rid of the guns and drive around in vehicles all day... that would be unrealistic? right?

yea that would be unrealistic... and i agree when your makin a game reality is the key. it makes the game for fun, but when FF is on all the time you expect everyone to work together to be dominant not kill teammates because you have the power.. plus whats good though is the grief system where if its so much tking they get kicked or banned or whatever. thats agood idea, but ppl shouldnt do it in the first place.

Funny Story 1: Once, I was patrolling the rooftop while my squad was in the process of a hack on one of the bases with the upstairs cap rooms. Most of the way through, I come breezing thru the cap room with darklight on and notice an enemy cloaker hacking back the console. Immediately, I leap into action, dispatching him quickly.
Me: Cloaked enemy detected! Me: Clear! Squadie1: Ummm... Me: shit, sorry. That was when I decided to go ahead and turn names back on. Fortunately, our guy had just finished the hack when I killed him, and he made it back in plenty of time to get exp because we had an AMS handy. Funny Story 2: Last night, I was playing TR on Citrine (I'm normally NC on Beryl), attacking a base. Someone was talking to me in the room and I was distracted while waltzing thru the basement towards the cap room. I make it all the way there with no resistance so I'm paying very little attention as I again breeze into another cap room. Fortunately, there was afriendly looking MAX and an infantryman guarding it. I rush over to the max to do a quick G+I invite when all the sudden they both start unloading on me. Really confused and a little bit pissed, I'm dancing around trying not to get ate up by friendly fire. Me: WTF? These guys are TKing me in the cc! Squadie2: Ummm... Me: Oh shit, I'm not NC, am I?

This happened back in the BR10 days, and my name was Homestar at the time. After BR1, I'm using the name Harmfool. I wouldn't be suprised if this happened a lot, because without names, it is really hard to tell which cloaks are eeevil thru darklight.

I can relate to your 2nd story. I've had a time or two when I was like, "yes, we've got a tower nearby", only to have a squad member point out that we weren't playing as TR....
Or this morning I thought I saw some reinforcements coming into a base I was hacking when I suddenly realized that I was playing as Vanu, not NC. doh! |

here's a tk'ing solution...
get ur outfit to go into marshall law mood and inform anyone in it of the name(s) of the guy(s) who tk'ed you. Then each member could make it his mission for the next few hours or so to make that guy (those guys) gamming experience pure hell. |
