If your a scout, I can see Surge being useful to get that extra run speed. But yes, Range Modify for Sniper is a plus... Darklight Vision is useful for every class. Surge for runspeed. I think those should be the three worth looking into. You only get 1 implant slot every 6 levels... so level 6, 12, and 18. 3 Max. If you are a sniper I can see Range Modify Implant at 6, Surge at 12, and Darklight at 18. Considering you won't be guarding CC's much as a sniper it wont be as useful to you as say a soft target specialty max. But, like I said... Darklight has it's uses in very many situations... not only guarding CC's. And you may see a reason to get it at 12 and save surge for 18. But the way I first put it seems to be most efficient for a Sniper/Scout.

Darklight is not for long distance... It really does best in close-indoor situations looking for stealthers. When you turn on dark light, it looks like a big fog bank just decended on you... you cant see for more than a few feet, but you can see stealthed thangs.
Also you cant use a inf suit and a rifle. Inf suits only have 1 pistol slot.

Just one FYI, the 8x zoom on the sniper rifle already reaches to the point that the fog starts to limit your vision on most continents. Also one other thing to remmember is I noticed that you are not pixel accurate at 12x zoom.
I would personally say that surge or advanced regeneration are going to be your best bet. I was a sniper for a bit over a month in exclusive. One thing I noticed was you could shoot a person once, then they would become aware of you, so every once in a while you would get hit a bit before you could get the second shot into them. So I had both basic engineering and advanced regeneration, so after I killed the person I could flip advanced regen on and repair my own armor to get back up to full hp/armor. And on a side note, it is extremely important to give fast concise information on where enemies are coming from. I am guessing that if you plan on being a scout you are going to be grouping with a static group of people that will be able to best use your ability right? If so then I would recommend getting some sort of voice chat. When on voice chat many times I have heard someone saying, "Enemy incoming." That is not usefull knowledge at all, and always results in a follow-up of "where from?" It is very important for you to give what is coming and from where. A simple blurp of "2 infantry, 1 max, 1 tank incoming from SE" will give a great deal of information extremely fast to your team. If I heard that I would know I need to get my anti-vehicle weapon out and ready, all snipers should turn their sights to the SE to take out the infantry. Squick |
