Hey guys, I spent some time in the beta thus far and I noticed something. Not alot of Mosquitoes flying around. I saw a couple but nothing compared to the massive amounts of Reavers. Why do you guys think this is?
Is it because of the appeal of the heavily armored/heavily powered Reaver compared to the lightly armored/lightly powered Mosquito. Or do you think that the Mosquito isn't really a useful platform where we are in the beta right now. -I personally like the Mosquito alot, its quick, its small, and effective in my opinion. Not that I dont love the Reaver because I deffinetly do. I'd like to hear some opinions from you guys. Thanks -The President

i dont know i dont like to fly the skeeter because although you say its good for dog fighting i havent really like dog fighting in this game. Its so... not real. You know you cant dive straight down you cant do rolls its just hard for me to get into the flying. Now dont get me wrong i dont want it to be a flying sim but i really wish they would make flying more skill based not just "hey im gonna be l33t in my reaver" i want it so that a noob cant just jump in and be great right away. The flying mode is just way to noobish IMO.

There is skill necessary for flying in PS. The first time I climbed into an aircraft I sucked. Not everyone can fly well in PS and there are those who wholly surpass their peers when it comes to flying capability. Yeah I have a couple problems with the way flying works but all in all I like it. I've fought against guys in the Reaver who were super good and then there are those who are just horrible and tackle trees, which by the way are the most devastating anti-air weapons in the game.

LOL! "Tackle trees?!" I'd love to see that one. Anyone ever flown a Shrike in a 5 fighter dogfight on Thin Ice in Tribes 2? That's super hard to fly!!! If the Reaver is anything like that...I'm gonna have fun!
