Weapons

Hey im just wondering what most of you guys are using for weapons. I plan on being NC so i was looking at guass or jack hammer. Whats with the magscatter is it any good? Also has anyone tried the rocklet or the punisher? if so how good are they as far as damage cause i love to play with rocket luanchers. Used to playing quakes and half life so im kinda attached to rockets. Not sure though if there worth it in this game for the amound of damage.

The great thing is when you play, you can go straight to VR training and test ALL of the weapons yourself to see what you like best, before you get your certs. And you DO have targets in there. Troops, MAXs, tanks, reavers, etc.

Personally, I play Terran, but from my experience fighting NC... Gauss is better at range, pretty good all around weapon. Jackhammer used to be total crap, they changed it, but if I was NC I still wouldnt pay 4 cert points for it. Phoenix is an awesome weapon, Mag-Scatter is one of the better pistols. At one point I did use the rocklet, but I found I liked the Thumper better, and about the Punisher... its pretty nice, all-purpose rifle, but I still prefer my Cycler

I've grown fond of the Punisher and rocklet combo. It's just a good allpurpose rifle. As an engineer-AMS driver I find myself in more of a supporting role and the ability to reach out and touch someone with the rocklets has come in handy. The drawbacks are the single fire and slow reload. Also the flight is rather slow and you need a really good lead on a moving target. Can't beat the range though.

Each weapon has its strengths and weaknesses. Definantly go do the weapon and vehicle VR training and try every single peice of gear, armor and vehicle. Every single one will give you BEP. Also, when trying out vehicles stop and try out the gunner positions. You get points for that also. I walked out of the sanctuary well on my way to BR3.
