Just wondering because some of my screen flicker issues could be a driver. They're all up-to-date but I read on a thread somewhere in the beta forums that PS has really worked with a certain Detonator Driver set. Problem though is that I can't find the friggin thread anywhere on their site. Any clue or idea which one?

40.72
Also, SoE has mentioned quite a few times that the 43.45 are NOT supported and may cause harm to your system since they still aren't WHQL certified. Also, when talking about drivers, there are a couple of other things I can comment on. The 43.45 and 43.51 drivers have some stability issues and are the newest drivers out there (although those who have the 43.45s running flawlessly do have good performance. The major issue with the 43.45s is a lower performance with Vertex Shading). for 4x.xxs, the 40.72 is arguably the best Det drivers, followed by the 43.45. The best overall Det driver is the 30.82, for many, which is DX9.0a compatable. The biggest thing is to test drivers personally through a person's daily routine. No driver will run the same on each person's system on every game they own. Last edited by OmnipotentKiwi; 2003-04-28 at 05:04 AM. |
